The Buddhist Wildlife Trade Demand Reduction Initiative in Southeast Asia, supported by NABU, seeks to raise public awareness and implement demand reduction campaigns in Vietnam, Bhutan, and Mongolia. With the invaluable contribution by BJF, the initiative aims to harness the ethical principles of Buddhism to combat wildlife trafficking. By fostering a sense of responsibility and compassion towards nature, the campaign strives to reduce the demand for wildlife products, thereby contributing to the preservation of biodiversity. Through close coordination with local communities, religious leaders and other stakeholders, this collaborative effort aspires to create lasting change in attitudes and behaviours, aligning with the core tenets of Buddhist philosophy and environmental conservation.
In collaboration with the Apparel Made-ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, we're promoting environmental sustainability by distributing cloth bags. This initiative aims to encourage reuse, combat single-use plastic, and foster eco-friendly practices. By providing reusable cloth bags, we contribute to a greener future and raise awareness about the importance of reducing plastic waste. Join us in making a positive impact on the environment through responsible choices and sustainable living.
